Dedicated to the Author’s Uncle. The Second Book in Her Great-Grandparents Series
Cynthia has continued blog-writing about her ancestors. This is the second novelette in her great- grandparents series and the story does not disappoint. This story focuses on Jamie and his growing up in Montreal’s Golden age. Cynthia is an accomplished researcher and storyteller. I grew up Montreal and have researched my family there too. It was a treat and several times I could see how her families lives and my own were similar and different. During the layout process the McCord Museum in Montreal released a huge collection of William Notman’s photographic work. I was able to introduce photos into the story that were taken in the same period as the story. The family photos needed restoration work and with the photo controls at MyHeritage.com I created cover art that I am proud of. This book offers detailed Endnotes and a Bibliography, as well as timelines, and family charts in the Appendices. I enjoy Cynthia’s writing and look forward with anticipation to what I will find on her blog.
