Jane is a Social Anthropologist, and avid family historian. She asked at the British Columbia Genealogical Society if they knew anyone who could put a publication together and they directed her to me. Since this project we have become good friends (we share sewing, arts & crafts hobbies). Jane was organizing the next Murphy family reunion and already had a strong group on Facebook for it. The big group worked together posting photos and short bios to be used in the descendant’s section of the magazine. It was an incredible keepsake for everyone who attended.
Jane is a phenomenal researcher and recently won the 2021 WAPA Praxis Award for excellence in translating anthropological knowledge into action. I was happy to contribute in a very small way for her publication “Making Things Happen”.
The Murphy Reunion publication included proofreading, design, layout, photo correction, print and distribution management, family tree charts, posters and a LIVING Tree take-away poster. (See Murphy Living Poster.)
