I first learned about Fanny in 2014 😍 she was my 4x great-grandmother and mother to Clarissa. The historians in my family have been looking for her about 100 years. This week I learned she was abandoned by her husband c1813 as she raised 4 children, only 2 making it to adulthood. With her children and their families she emigrated from New York to Montreal in 1840. Between March of ‘42 and May of ‘43 her daughter in law would die in childbirth, then the baby, followed by another grandchild, her son and Fanny. They were all buried in a cemetery that no longer exists. Yesterday I found their remains were moved to the Mt Royal cemetery to rest with the remaining family. ❤️

What a journey Fanny has made.
